DC Readiness Evaluation

Thomas Associates Inc. and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) conducted ship survivability demonstrations in a real-scale fire and damage control shipboard environment on board ex-USS SHADWELL located in Mobile, Ala. The Objective of the demonstration was two-fold: Develop metrics to help ship’s evaluate Damage Control Readiness; and, Evaluate new Advanced Communications techniques for use in a shipboard fire.
